  Check these out:
  • Hocus-Crocus: The showy crocus (Crocus speciosus) are blooming in great numbers this week on the east side of Oak Hill adjacent to the Quarry, in the Quarry area, and on the side of Sycamore Hill along the Quarry walkway.  Their magic show doesn’t last long.
  • Sniff this out: Several of the lilacs (Syringa species and varieties) at the end of the Sundial Garden along Garden Lane are blooming with scents of spring.
  • Brilliant: The crabapple (Malus species and varieties) fruits are sparkling like fine red art glass at the edge of the Pinetum.  The birds are having a fine time with them.  Catch the show from the Pinetum bench that gives a view into the treetops.
  • Camellias: The white camellias (Camellia varieties) are blooming on the upper side of the Museum Store.
