This year’s Artisan Market Bloom Bars feature three signature cocktails inspired by the garden. Crafted with fresh herbs, botanicals, and vibrant citrus, each drink celebrates the flavors of the season.

Whether you enjoy one while exploring the market or recreate it at home, these recipes offer a taste of Artisan Market long after the weekend ends.

Hibiscus Cosmopolitan

A vibrant twist on a classic, this cosmopolitan is bright, floral, and beautifully balanced. Homemade hibiscus syrup lends a deep ruby color and subtle tartness that pairs perfectly with citrus and vodka.

Hibiscus Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus and steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the flowers, then stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  4. Cool completely before using. Store refrigerated.

Hibiscus Cosmopolitan

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 lime wedges, divided
  • 1 tablespoon dried hibiscus (plus a pinch for garnish)
  • 2 ounces Prairie Organic Vodka
  • ½ ounce orange liqueur
  • ¾ ounce hibiscus syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar and dried hibiscus on a small plate. Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip into the hibiscus sugar.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, orange liqueur, hibiscus syrup, and lime juice.
  3. Shake until well chilled and strain into the prepared glass.
  4. Garnish with a pinch of dried hibiscus.

Lavender Paloma


Fresh grapefruit and homemade lavender syrup bring floral notes to this refreshing take on the classic Paloma, finished with sparkling club soda for a crisp summer sip.

Lavender Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons dried edible lavender

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat, add the lavender, and steep for 15–20 minutes.
  4. Strain and cool before refrigerating.

Lavender Paloma

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila blanco
  • 4 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce lavender simple syrup
  • Club soda, to top
  • Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Fresh lavender sprig and grapefruit slice, for garnish

Directions

  1. If desired, rim a rocks glass with salt.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and lavender syrup. Stir gently.
  4. Top with club soda.
  5. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a sprig of fresh lavender.

Basil Elderflower Gin Lemonade


Herbaceous basil and delicate elderflower elevate classic lemonade into a light, refreshing cocktail that tastes like summer in the garden.

Ingredients

  • 1½ ounces gin
  • 1 ounce elderflower liqueur
  • Lemonade
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped or whole
  • Fresh basil sprig, for garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a rocks glass with ice.
  2. Add the gin and elderflower liqueur.
  3. Top with lemonade and stir gently.
  4. Add chopped basil or lightly muddle a few basil leaves before stirring.
  5. Garnish with a fresh basil sprig.
