Embrace the Warmth and Wonder of the Season
Celebrate the Yuletide season with a one-of-a-kind holiday experience. Tour rooms in Henry Francis du Pont’s former home decorated in full holiday splendor. This year’s tour includes several trees inspired by Christmas trees seen at the White House, in conjunction with the exhibition, Jacqueline Kennedy and H. F. du Pont: From Winterthur to the White House. Many displays are inspired by the traditions and festivities of the season as enjoyed by du Pont and his family.
Included with admission. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Open New Year’s Day.

New this year is a toy train display, featuring Standard Gauge toy trains. The display is presented by the Standard Gauge Module Association, whose members constructed the display at Winterthur. The display is open from 10:00 am–4:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and Wednesday evenings in December, 5:00–8:00 pm.
Don’t miss the large-scale gingerbread version of the Winterthur mansion, made by Bredenbeck’s Bakery of Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania.
Special Programs and Events
Special programs throughout the season include Wonderful Wednesdays in December, evening events that feature live jazz performances, caroling, and workshops. Visitors can also enjoy a live one-man performance of A Christmas Carol by Gerald Charles Dickens, the great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens, wine and cocktail tastings, and Brunch with Santa.

Festive Floral Arrangements
Bring a bit of Yuletide home with a fresh flower arrangement created by the Winterthur floral designers. As if picked from the estate, they overflow with fragrant evergreens, pinecones, and seasonal flowers. Choose Winter White or Holiday Red. Order by Friday for pick up the following week by calling 800.448.3883 x3. Pickup in the Museum Store on Thursday or Friday, 11:00 am–4:00 pm. $85 per arrangement, $80 for Members. Quantities limited. Flowers may be substituted due to availability. The Winterthur White arrangement is 18” high x 12” wide and one side. The Holiday Red arrangement is 24” long. x 9” wide and all sides.
