In honor of World Embroidery Day, spend a lovely summer evening learning (or perfecting) counted embroidery basics while completing your own needle book and accessories inspired by the seven continents. Sharon Verbos from The Purple Thread provides instruction and good-humored encouragement. The needle book includes a few pieces of wonderful vintage ribbons and lace collected on travels and the use of some old embroidery stitches!
