A love letter to the “Small Wonder” that is Delaware, this charming exhibition presents a wide array of Winterthur objects that celebrate the state’s native wildflowers, animals, geology, and waterways.  While Delaware became the first state to join the newly established country on December 7, 1787, its lands and waters have born witness to eons of natural changes. Today, Delaware remains one of the most biodiverse environments in the United States, featuring more than 45 different habitats including woodlands, marshes, meadows, and a sprawling, 10,000-acre cypress swamp.
