42nd Annual Point-to-Point - Cancelled
Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library Closed to Public
We are following the guidance of local health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to protect the health and well-being of our visitors, staff, and volunteers. At the direction of Delaware Governor John Carney, Winterthur is temporarily closed. We are very sad to say the closure now includes our beautiful garden, which we know has provided a much-needed respite for many during this challenging time. The museum, garden, galleries, library, retail stores, and dining services remain closed until further notice. All programs and events scheduled through May 15 have been postponed. We are working to reschedule, and we will reach out to you with the new dates. If the new dates are not convenient, we will happily offer you a refund.
We have also made the difficult decision to cancel the 42nd Annual Winterthur Point-to-Point event. You may roll over your purchase for this year’s race to next year’s, make this year’s purchase a donation to Winterthur’s COVID-19 efforts and receive a full tax credit, or receive a full refund. Please direct all requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a difficult and anxious time for all of us. As a staff, we are focusing our energies on welcoming everyone back to the museum and garden once we are allowed to reopen. While you might miss some of the spring blossoms, we can assure you that Winterthur is beautiful all year long, and we will do our best to keep you updated with pictures on the progress of the spring garden and to bring Winterthur to you virtually via social media, so follow us @winterthurmuse.
In the meantime, stay well and stay safe. See you soon!
