Every Wednesday (May 2-September 30, 2018), 4:30 pm   NEW DAY/TIME!

Try practicing yoga in a beautiful garden setting, strengthening your body and spirit. Our yoga class is open to all levels. We will practice slow, easy motions to get into the rhythm of nature. Led by Beth Sheehy. Bring a yoga mat, small towel, and a water bottle. Wear layers appropriate to the season. Classes are held rain or shine and will meet at the Brown Learning Center.  Class will move outdoors as weather permits. Drop-in rate of $10.  No advance registration necessary.  Members may bring a friend. For more information, contact Beth Sheehy.

 

Wellness Walks

Thursday, September 13  and  October 11, 4:00 pm

With miles of roads and nearly 1,000 acres of scenery, it's hard to discover each and every path on your own. Skip the gym and join Garden Curator Carol Long for an invigorating yet scenic walk through seldom explored paths of the estate. Each walk features a new path to explore. In the spirit of wellness, walk will be fast paced at times; some terrain may be hilly. 90 minutes.  Walks begin at the Visitor Center patio.  In case of inclement weather, an updated message will be left at 302.888.4915 approximately 3 hours before the walk. Members free.  Included with admission.

 

Yoga, Wine, and Cheese in the Garden

Saturday, October 20, 4:00-6:00 pm

Join us for a casual affair celebrating Wellness at Winterthur!  Following an
invigorating yet peaceful yoga session, you are invited to stay and picnic along the bucolic Clenny Run.  Enjoy the melodic violin music of Winterthur's own Jody Cross.  Food and wine is BYOB, however a selection of cheese and wine will be available for purchase.  Dress for the weather and bring a yoga mat.  While a few tables, chairs, and blankets will be available, you are welcome to bring your own blankets and chairs for the picnic following the yoga class.  Members free.  Members may bring a friend.  Limited capacity.  Reservations recommended.  Call 302.388.4600 to reserve your spot today!

Join Brown Harrington Director of Garden and Estate Chris Strand to learn how to take best advantage of your dawn-to-dusk access to the 1,000 acres of lush gardens, rolling meadows, and woodlands of the estate.  Members free.
