DESCRIPTION:Enjoy crafts\, games\, and demonstrations inspired by the theme of storytelling\, with each week focusing on a different aspect of creative expression. Every Tuesday features a new set of activities and a different guest artist. For ages 3–10. Drop-in program. $5; free for Members and children under age 2. Includes General Admission.  \nJuly 1–Model \nMake your own playdough\, try needle felting and sculpting with clay\, and see if you can bend your body into the shapes of the alphabet. Guest artist: Samara Weaver. \nRegister for July 1. \nJuly 8–Sew \nHelp with a community quilt project\, learn simple stitching\, and about designing with tiles. Guest artist: Selina Toedter. \nRegister for July 8. \nJuly 15–Light \nExplore light and color. Learn how human vision works and about crankie theater\, an old form of storytelling. Guest artists: Lindsay Bolin Lowery and Mack Truax. \nRegister for July 15. \nJuly 22–Paint \nLearn about different types of paint\, try hand printing\, and create watercolor landscapes and charcoal portraits. Guest artist: Emmanuel Aboagye. \nRegister for July 22. \nJuly 29–Cut \nLearn about different types of paper and make artwork using different methods of cutting and see a demonstration of physiognotrace\, a machine that creates silhouettes.
