SUMMARY:Winterthur Wine Circle
DESCRIPTION:Bordeaux Sensory Tasting\nMarch 10 | 11:00 am-12:00 pm \nHave you ever smelled or tasted something in a wine but can’t pinpoint the familiar scent or taste? It takes practice to be able to detect these flavors\, and that’s where sensory tastings help. During this tasting\, explore sights\, flavors\, and aromas of wine from some of the top regions in France as you begin to learn how to focus on specific elements of wine. Winterthur Cottage Cafe. \nWine Educational Talk with Dave Govatos of Swigg\nApril 10 | 6:00-7:30 pm \nJoin us at Swigg\, a curated bottle shop in Wilmington. Owner David Govatos will take you on a journey through Bordeaux in his educational wine talk. At Swigg\, he highlights wine producers that practice “farm-to-glass\,” making wines with minimal intervention that truly show a sense of place\, or “terroir.” Swigg is located in the Independence Mall\, 1601 Concord Pike\, Wilmington\, DE. \nRegistration required; capacity limited. $100 per person for both workshops. $50 per person for only April 10 event. \nRegister now. \nThese are the first events in the new Winterthur Wine Circle series. Discussions will be led by Abigail Miller\, associate manager of audience engagement\, who has a master’s degree in wine marketing from Penn State and is studying for her Level III qualification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.  \n
