SUMMARY:Birding Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us to explore some of the hotspots for birds at Winterthur\, including wetlands\, meadows\, and the woodlands along Clenny Run. Observe resident birds as well as migrating raptors\, warblers\, and sparrows. For beginning or experienced bird watchers. Bring your binoculars. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear walking shoes. $20; $14 for Members. Park in the Visitor Parking Lot and meet at the Picnic House (the small building at the far end of the lot). Walks start promptly at scheduled time. DESCRIPTION:Children and their adults will enjoy hands-on activities and walks with a Delaware Master Naturalist. Learn about the natural lands at Winterthur\, the plants and animals living here\, and how naturalists and citizen scientists work to care for them. Children will receive a special pin for each Eco Explorer program they attend. Registration required; capacity limited. $30 per adult/child pair. $5 per additional child. $25 per additional adult (one adult chaperone required per family group). $10 per adult/child pair for Members.
