DESCRIPTION:Children and their adults will enjoy hands-on activities and walks with a Delaware Master Naturalist. Learn about the natural lands at Winterthur\, the plants and animals living here\, and how naturalists and citizen scientists work to care for them. Children will receive a special pin for each Eco Explorer program they attend. Registration required; capacity limited. $30 per adult/child pair. $5 per additional child. $25 per additional adult (one adult chaperone required per family group). $10 per adult/child pair for Members. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an hour-long journey through American music spanning the past century\, performed by violinist Eliot Heaton of the Philadelphia Orchestra and pianist Thomas Weaver\, associate chair of musical studies at the Curtis Institute of Music. From Aaron Copland to today’s local composers\, this recital celebrates the rich and evolving musical landscape of our nation in honor of America’s 250th anniversary and is hosted by composer Tommy Dougherty. Performance only: $35–$37; $30–$32 for Members; $20 for children 12 and under.
