DESCRIPTION:April 12–24\, 2026\nIntended for professionals in the care of cultural heritage\, graduate students\, and scholars of American decorative arts\, this two-week immersive experience includes lectures\, hands-on workshops\, research opportunities\, and access to the specialists\, gardens\, and historic architecture of Winterthur.\nParticipants will be part of a select learning cohort and\, upon completion of Winterthur Institute\, have gained: \n\n	historical knowledge of the decorative arts\, as well as techniques of cultural analysis\, which define the relationship of an object to its time.\n	competencies in object handling and preservation best practices that benefit collections-care skill sets.\n	an understanding of “sense of place” while studying collections in the former du Pont historic home and estate.\n	70 hours of professional development in key skills and knowledge for cultural heritage study.\n\nFor more information\, visit winterthurinstitute.org.\n\nWinterthur Institute is supported by Learning Times\, LLC\, and Winterthur Institute alumni.
