JOB TITLE: Visitor Service Asst, Information and Tours – Part Time Temp

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:A Visitor Service Assistant in the WIT Office will provide information regarding Winterthur exhibitions, tours, tour packages, membership and other information related to Winterthur, and will process and sell tickets for Winterthur tours and programs using excellent customer service skills.

Ensure excellent customer service by answering the telephone in a warm friendly manner and providing requested information, including general information, ticket and tour options, orientation information about Winterthur, special events, and other visitor concerns.

Use the Siriusware ticketing system to book advanced reservations for individuals, bus and school groups, programs, special events, gift certificates and hotel gift certificates by selling appropriate tickets in the same sale, selling memberships, and applying coupons. Follow up with reserved groups to verify status and obtain payment.

Take and adjust payments in order to ensure accurate and efficient reservation processing. Settle daily credit card sales by learning Protobase procedures when serving as the opening VSA in the WIT Office before the start of daily ticket sales.

Utilize Microsoft Outlook to review updated information about WIT procedures, send group tour cancellation notices, and respond to emails received from both individuals and groups through the Winterthur website. Stay informed about Winterthur using the Business Portal.

Attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Complete other training assignments including taking tours. Assist in other support services such as stuffing envelopes, fulfilling ticket donation requests and survey data entry.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent degree
Preferred: course work in Customer Service Training and formal computer training.
Minimum: 1-3 years of phone reservation and customer service experience

Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills. Must be able to understand and apply a large level of detailed information as well as accurately utilize basic math skills. Computer skills required, including successfully completing Basic assessment testing in Outlook and ability to learn ticketing system is essential.

Preferred: Knowledge of Delaware/Brandywine area helpful; knowledge of Siriusware ticketing system.
