JOB TITLE: Visitor Service Asst, Reception – Part Time Temp

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: A Visitor Service Assistant I in the Visitor Center and Galleries will provide information regarding Winterthur exhibitions, tours, tour packages, membership and other information related to Winterthur, and will process and sell tickets for Winterthur tours and programs using excellent customer service skills. Ensure excellent customer service by welcoming all visitors to Winterthur, answering questions in a warm, friendly manner and providing requested information, including ticket and tour options, orientation information about Winterthur, special events, and other visitor concerns. Adapt to change and able to graciously handle and process a wealth of information regularly.
Use the Siriusware ticketing system to sell walk-in and reserved tours for individuals, group tour reservations, special events, memberships, and gift cards. Redeem coupons/promotions and take payments in order to ensure accurate and efficient ticket sales processing. Take opportunity to up-sell or promote membership and upgrade tours when possible. Follow procedures outlined accurately and discuss discrepancies with supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent degree
Preferred: course work in Customer Service Training and formal computer training.
Minimum: 1-3 years of sales and customer service experience
Preferred: In addition to above, personal reception and up selling products experience
Minimum: Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to understand and apply a large level of detailed information as well as accurately utilize basic math skills. Computer skills required, including successfully completing Basic assessment testing in Outlook and ability to learn ticketing system is essential. Good organizational skills. Able to multitask and Adapt to change and able to graciously handle and process a wealth of information regularly. Must be able to work weekends, some evenings and some holidays, as needed, especially during spring tour season, Yuletide and other special events; have a flexible schedule.
Preferred: Knowledge of the Delaware/Brandywine area and of Siriusware ticketing system are helpful.
