On Saturdays in May 2008, Winterthur Museum & Country Estate will display a series of magnificent historic automobiles. Step back in time to see the types of vehicles that graced Winterthur in the 1920s, '30s, and '40s. Each Saturday will feature a different thematic display.

Children's Vegetable Garden

8 am (ages 6–8, 9–11) and 10 am (ages 6–8)
Children of Member families are introduced to vegetable gardening in this 10-week course. They will learn to plan, cultivate, care for, and harvest their own plots as well as form a community garden with staff horticulturists. The children’s gardens will be on display at GardenFair. Sessions are an hour and a half. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All garden tools and seeds will be provided. Free to Members. Call 302.888.4622 for more information or to register. Taggart-Grycky Flute and Guitar Duo
University of Delaware Faculty Concert

Flutist, Eileen Grycky, and classical guitarist, Christiaan Taggart, make up the Taggart-Grycky Duo, in residence at the University of Delaware. The acclaimed duo will perform Dances in the Madhouse by David Leisner, Three Pieces from the Ballet Gayane by Aram Khachaturian, and Traveling Songs by Robert Maggio, written for the Taggart-Grycky Duo.

K is for Kids Story Hour

Enjoy the K is for Kids Story Hours. A volunteer from ReadAloud Delaware will read the Jane Yolen title of the month—plus lots more!—to visitors who gather in the K is for Kids exhibition’s Book Nook.

Celebrate the beginning of summer with your family in Enchanted Woods! Meet Mother Nature, make crafts, and watch the Tatnall School students perform the Maypole Dance. Strolling musicians Danaher and MacCloud provide a lively backdrop.
