Follies at Winterthur
Escape into the imaginative world of garden follies! Thirteen fantastic structures await discovery and exploration—from a Gothic-inspired tower, an Ottoman tent, and neoclassical follies to a Chinese pavilion, American summerhouses, and enchanting faerie cottage, and creative contemporary follies—all set within Henry Francis du Pont’s majestic garden. Whether by foot or tram, plan for outdoor adventure with a twist of fun.
All admission tickets include Enchanted Woods, an award-winning garden for children, and an introductory tour of du Pont’s mansion.
Fountains at Longwood
Longwood Gardens is not only one of the world’s great display gardens, but is also home to the most significant fountain collection in North America! The dazzling fountain performances are a feat of design and engineering that combine the garden’s original fountain features with a new suite of awe-inspiring effects, including 1,719 swirling jets that can reach as high as 175 feet and 30 jests that combine water and flame.
In addition to the Main Fountain Garden, Longwood is home to the enchanting Italian Water Garden and Open Air Theatre fountains, which also perform daily.
Longwood Gardens and Winterthur are conveniently located just outside of Philadelphia, midway between New York City and Washington, D.C. Take I-95, Exit 7 in Delaware, or U. S. Route 1.
