Ghost Tales & Spirits Night at Winterthur

Have a perfectly spooky time in the dark at Winterthur with actor David Keltz portraying Edgar Allan Poe in a one-man show as well as creepy crafts and spirits—to drink! It will be an unforgettable evening with America’s earliest master of the macabre—Edgar Allan Poe! Actor David Keltz recites two chilling Poe stories, “The Cask of Amontillado” and “The Tell-Tale Heart,” followed by the well-known poems “The Raven” and “El Dorado.” Mr. Keltz’s performance has been lauded by The Poe House and Museum in Baltimore, The Poe Museum in Richmond, and the Poe National Historic Site in Philadelphia.

You can also take a chilling tram ride through the grounds after nightfall, complete with scary stories at the Butler House, the Golf Cottage, and Chandler Farm that will give you goosebumps! Capacity is limited and a seat on the tram tour must be reserved.  TRAM TOURS ARE SOLD OUT!

We will have fun and eerie adult crafts to fill the evening and creepy alcoholic drinks and food available for purchase as well as non-alcoholic drinks.

Come prepared to walk and be outside for part of the evening. Poe performance is at 8:15 pm with seating opening 30 minutes prior to show start time. Not suitable for ages 13 and under.
