Objects for the Collection

Winterthur's collection of American antiques (those made or used in America from 1640 to 1860) is unrivaled and contains more than 87,000 objects. There are, however, certain gaps in the collection. The curatorial staff has maintained a special list of desired items, some of which are also appropriate teaching tools for the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture.
