The third annual Winterthur Design Conference focuses on design of the 1940s. An exceptional assemblage of experts will address a range of topics, including the influence of World War II on American decorative arts and design, the changing styles of houses and gardens after the war, the importance of new materials, and much more.

LECTURES
All lectures will be held in Copeland Lecture Hall (located in the Visitor Center) with the exception of the evening lecture by Maggie Lidz, which will take place at the Greenville Country Club.

WORKSHOP
The optional workshop will take place in the museum building. Please plan on arriving at least 10–15 minutes prior to the workshop to check in with your escort at the Galleries Reception Area (museum building).

CONFERENCE FEE
$275; $225 Winterthur Members and professionals working for nonprofits;
$180 students with valid ID

Fee includes:
Friday lectures, coffee break and lunch, dinner at Greenville Country Club;
option of registering for workshop.


LODGING
Lodging is the responsibility of the registrant. Winterthur will provide a
list of accommodations upon request. Please ask when you register.


CANCELLATION Winterthur reserves the right to cancel the conference or workshop. Should Winterthur cancel, participants will be issued a full refund. Chic It Up! participants who cancel by October 30, regardless of the reason, will be issued a full refund minus a $50 handling fee. No refunds after October 30.
