Outdoor Event: Reflecting Pool

BYO (bring-your-own) items are only permitted when Winterthur After Hours takes place at Clenny Run. Please check location *

Explore the Galleries and grounds after hours. Enjoy music, a beer garden, and a sunset tram ride around Winterthur’s barns and outbuildings. The beautiful Reflecting Pool area will come alive with the sounds of Los Monstros, a versatile, multiethnic combination of musicians who are dedicated to embracing the roots of the Latin/tropical sound, while also highlighting the fusion of the traditional into more contemporary, popular American and Jazz music styles. They provide a multicultural experience that is appropriate for all ages, genders, and ethnicities. In short, there’s a bit of familiarity for everyone.

Garden Stroll
6:30 and 7:15 pm

Join Lauren Fair, associate objects conservator, Winterthur, and assistant affiliated faculty for the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, on a stroll through the garden and Reflecting Pool area. Lauren will discuss objects on display and recent conservation work as part of a larger museum effort to restore sections of the garden to H. F. du Pont's 20th-century garden decorating designs.

Admission is Pay What You Wish. Reserve your tickets online for the July 28 Winterthur After Hours or call 302.888.4600.

Partial proceeds from this program help fund Fantastic Fridays. Programs are subject to change. Your donation helps purchase supplies for a program offered at no cost to the Salvation Army. Fantastic Fridays introduces children in the Salvation Army’s summer camp and afterschool programs to museums and all they have to offer. Two Fridays each month during the school year, Winterthur staff teach children about art, antiques, and art conservation through crafts, games, and science experiments. Undergraduate interns and teen volunteers lead activities each week during the summer, giving them experience in education as well as an opportunity to foster meaningful relationships with the students
