Join us for this very special concert by UD Master Players* ensemble-in-residence 6ixwire—duet Xiang Gao and Cathy Yang, world-class violinists who successfully bring eastern and western cultures together through original and creative concerts. Celebrate the season with music ranging from classical to tango to Chinese traditional. This concert will be hosted by the 2014 Governor’s Award recipient, Master Players founding artistic director Xiang Gao, who is a world-class violin soloist, founding member of 6ixwire, and the UD Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music. Great Musical Families
January 11, 3:00-4:30 pm

Witness a sensational concert where husband and wife vocalists, baritone Jonathan Lasch and soprano Caitlyn Lynch, show their passion for vocal music and for each other as they perform music—from opera arias to art songs and a selection of Broadway musical songs—with collaborative pianist and vocal coach Lydia Qiu. Two of the finest American vocalists, the duet perform at major opera houses from the Metropolitan Opera to the Dallas Opera. $15 per Member. $25 per nonmember. $10 per student. *The University of Delaware’s Master Players Concert Series, now in its 11th year, welcomes virtuoso performers from across the country and around the world. This series is under the management of the University of Delaware Department of Music and is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Music. A new partnership between Master Players and Winterthur Museum brings these Master Players events to Winterthur.
