Join Winterthur garden staff on a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show. This year's theme is "Brilliant" and features gardens inspired by Great Britain. The bus will leave the Winterthur parking lot at 9:00 am and will depart Philadelphia for the return trip at 3:00 pm. Lunch is on your own with numerous choices at the show and in the famous Redding Terminal. Seating is limited. Fee includes bus fee and tip, admission, and refreshments. Participants will tour rooms in the house, examine objects up close in the conservation labs, and learn practical ways to apply what they learn to their classroom teaching. This is a wonderful opportunity to speak directly with art conservators and museum scientists, to discover the many ways science can be applied to every day life, and to learn more about careers that combine a love of science and the arts.
